➡️ Tips and Substitutions:

  • Another version of vinaigrette that would be good with this salad is using white wine vinegar, plus a little bit of Dijon mustard.
  • You can make this salad as party of a larger menu: Cuban Dinner Party!
  • Don’t use over-ripe avocados for this recipe. You really want to use avocados that are firm, but ripe.

✔️ How to tell if an avocado is ripe:

A ripe avocado will yield very lightly to pressure when squeezed. It’ll be slightly soft but not squishy. If it’s squishy, then an avocado has gone beyond the point of no return, and it won’t be good to use for this salad.

Should press the black button on the top to see if avocado is ripe / ready . Pressing side’s bruises them.
