cup (1 stick)
unsalted butter,
melted
1/4
cup
extra virgin olive oil
4
cloves
garlic,
minced
1
whole
sourdough baguette,
sliced into 30 pieces
1/4
cup
shredded Parmesan or Asiago cheese
freshly chopped parsley,
for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, combine the butter, oil and garlic. Brush the sourdough rounds with the butter/oil mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
Place the rounds on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden. Cool and serve.
Notes
*It's okay to use unsalted butter as the cheese will have enough salt for flavor.
*Good olive oil is key to having good flavor in these rounds.
