This Slow Cooker Lasagna recipe has just 5 ingredients! It’s such an easy, family friendly meal perfect for busy days.
This simple dinner recipe is a big hit in my house. And I’m so happy to have a slow-cooker recipe that I can use for busy days where I don’t have time to cook. How cool is it that a slow cooker can make lasagna for you? Yes. Very cool, indeed! You do not need any experience in the kitchen to make this recipe!
Ingredients Needed:
- cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- jarred marinara sauce
- lean ground beef
- lasagna noodles- you do not need to cook them!
How to make Slow Cooker Lasagna:
The complete, printable recipe is at the end of this post.
- Place the cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese in a medium bowl and stir to combine.
- Add a thin layer of pasta sauce to the bottom of a slow cooker. Add a thin layer of the cooked ground beef and a layer of the noodles, breaking the noodles to make them fit. Top the noodle layer with a layer of the cheese mixture. Repeat until all of the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Serve hot.
Recipe Tips
- Add in frozen chopped spinach, squeezed dry. Add in chopped mushrooms. Use sausage in place of ground beef. Be creative!
- As the lasagna comes out of the oven, sprinkle a little more mozzarella cheese on top, as well as some chopped fresh parsley. That will make it look pretty!
What is the Best Slow Cooker?
The slow cooker that I’ve bought over and over again is the Hamilton Beach Portable 6 Quart Digital Programmable Slow Cooker. It’s the absolute best. I gift it to everyone too. If you want to make two kinds of lasagna at the same time in your slow cooker, buy this silicone divider set!
What I Love About This Recipe:
- It’s a no-brainer, EASY dinner recipe.
- We love lasagna, but sometimes we don’t want to do all of the work to make a classic lasagna.
- This is on my list of repeat-slow cooker recipes for busy weeknights!

Got to be Chicken & Wild Rice Salad and crusty roll!!! (however, I’m making the slow cooker lasagna soon–nummy!!)
Your recipe looks good (as usual), the cookbook sounds good – but goodbite.com not so good for me. 🙁 Can’t get it to work, can’t get past “tab1” to browse recipes, don’t see any contact info or help, etc. I’m not having problem with other sites so don’t think it’s my browser. Oh well, not your problem. I’ll stick with enjoying the goodies you share here, which I do enjoy!
I just made pulled pork in the Crock pot this weekend, which was so easy and good.
When I know I will have a busy day/evening, I try to have a mixed bean soup going in the crock pot. If I forget to soak the beans, then I usually try to make something with rice, since it is so versatile. Fried rice is super quick, just cook the rice, scramble a few eggs, toss it all into a large skillet with some frozen mixed veggies and soy sauce, heat it all up and you have dinner!
My favorite go to weeknight meal is another slowcooker recipe from Fix It and Forget It Lightly called “Chicken Delicious”. It is so simple requires a few simple ingredients and I can put it in the pot before I leave in the morning and its done when I get home. All I need to do is make some rice to serve with it! It definetly lives up to its name.
My favorite weeknight go to dish is Hungry Girl’s Kung Pao chicken, but I substitute shrimp, which makes it very quick to fix, and it’s oh, so good!
I have a crock pot recipe for Spanish Chicken~ easy & so good!! If it is last minute, then we love spaghetti & meatballs.
My family’s favorite go to meal is spaghetti with meat sauce. I also like chicken and rice cassarole.
I would have to say Spaghetti.
Love this versatile pasta dish. This is something I never get tired of.
