Millionaire’s Lemonade is a whiskey cocktail that’s the perfect adult summer beverage!
I’m kind of behind the trend, but I’ve been getting into whiskey drinks lately. My husband buys the good stuff, which is probably why I’m enjoying it. But this millionaire’s lemonade cocktail calls for using good ‘ol, down-home, Jack Daniels whiskey. Nothing fancier is really needed. I love that it incorporates both lemonade and iced tea. It’s such a refreshing beverage to serve at a summer party (or just for hanging out at the pool!)
This recipe comes from the Pig Beach BBQ cookbook by Matt Abdoo and Shane McBride. The Pig Beach restaurants are located in New York and Florida. I haven’t been there yet, but it’s definitely on my radar because all of the recipes in the cookbook look pretty amazing! The owners (both former chefs for Michelin Star restaurants) followed their dreams and opened a barbecue restaurant together.
The book contains more than 50 recipes for traditional favorites like buffalo wings and brisket to new things like Mojo-Marinated St. Louis Ribs and Secret Spice Pecan Candied Bacon. Yum! I chose to make one of their cocktails, probably because it’s darn hot outside and that’s what sounded good!

Cover and shake for 10 seconds. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, a mason jar is a good substitute. It gets the job done!
Strain the cocktail into the two glasses, dividing it evenly.
Add ice to the glasses. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon wedge. Serve, and enjoy!
