Buffalo Chicken Wonton Cups

Buffalo chicken dip is one of my favorite easy appetizers for a day of sports watching, but it can be kind of a messy serving situation. These wonton cups are the perfect solution because they’re self-contained and you can scale the recipe easily for however many people you need to serve.

➡️Recipe Tips:

  • You can use either the square or round wonton wrappers. Personally I like the square ones because you end up with really crispy points on each cup.
  • You can use any chicken for this. Leftovers work fine, or blanch a chicken breast until cooked through, or buy a rotisserie chicken and shred that up!
  • If you need more, just double or even triple the recipe!

✔️What to do with Buffalo Chicken Wonton Cups:

  • To me this appetizer just screams football. Make a big batch for a Super Bowl party. Your guests will love you!
  • When you have a little leftover chicken, surprise your family with an appetizer on a regular old Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday…
  • If you’re more of a pork fan, try making these with pulled pork instead of the chicken.

★How to Store:

Because of the cream cheese in these Buffalo Chicken wonton Cups, any leftovers will need to be stored in the refrigerator. Wrap them tightly and enjoy them the next day. If you have a toaster oven, it’s a great place to warm them up. Otherwise, 5 to 10 minutes in the oven will also work.

  3. I love that the after party clean-up is easy, too. All that’s left to clean is a plate or platter. Into the dishwasher and I’m done!

This is one of easy appetizers to cook before a game. I also try with other meats and found crab is good, too.
