These Goat Cheese Tarts look very elegant and pretty, but they are so easy to make!
Plan to make these for a gathering of friends. They are cute appetizers, but they are also a nice addition to a dinner party alongside soup or salad. You can consider them a side dish, if you do that. One bite opens up the flaky pastry with melted goat cheese and fresh basil inside. They are simple but delicious!
How to make Goat Cheese Tarts:
Cut a sheet of puff pastry into six equal portions. Roll out each portion into a 6×6-inch square.
Arrange goat cheese in the middle of each square. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg. Draw the edges up and seal in the middle, leaving an opening right in the center. Tuck a piece of fresh basil into the center opening. Bake for 15 minutes, until the goat cheese is soft and gooey inside and the pastry is browned.
If you’re a goat cheese lover, then you’re going to love these goat cheese tarts too. Share them with friends. Enjoy!
