These 3 Ingredient Brownies are just about the easiest chocolate brownie recipe that you’ll ever make, mixed and baked in under 30 minutes. If you love chewy, fudgy, rich brownies with a slightly crackly top, this viral brownie recipe is for you.
Nutella is a big deal in our house. I’ve even made my version of homemade Nutella! We bake Nutella Swirled Banana Bread quite often, Nutella Shortbread Bars are just about the most decadent, wonderful dessert ever, and you’ll only need 5 ingredients to make this No Bake Nutella Pie (another super easy recipe!!)

Anyone can bake these brownies. You do not have to be a baker. And for those of you who claim that you just can’t cook, I can pretty much guarantee your success in baking these 3 ingredient Nutella brownies with a fudgy-in-the-center (not cakey) texture and a hint of hazelnut flavor.

Only 3 Ingredients Needed to Make Brownies:
- Nutella: You’ll use a whole 13-ounce jar of Nutella for this recipe. Nutella has plenty of sugar in it, so there is no added sugar needed for this recipe.
- Flour: All purpose flour is what you need- just 1/2 cup.
- Eggs: You’ll need large eggs, at room temperature. To quickly get your eggs to room temperature, add them to a glass of warm (not hot) water and let them sit for a few minutes.

How to make 3 Ingredient Brownies:
This recipe is SO EASY to make. The complete, printable recipe is in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Preheat your oven to 350℉. Spray an 8×8-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
- In a medium bowl, stir all of the ingredients together using a wooden spoon or a sturdy rubber spatula. Don’t over-mix the batter. Just stir it until all of the ingredients come together. Scrape the brownie batter into the pan.
- Bake for 18 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Bake a couple of minutes more, if needed.

Recipe Tips
- To easily get the Nutella out of the jar, heat it slightly in the microwave just to loosen up the chocolate. Then you can scrape it out of the jar more easily using a rubber spatula.
- This recipe has been made using American Nutella, which has a bit more oil in it than European Nutella. I have not tested it using the European Nutella.
- Cut your brownies with a plastic knife! I know that sounds weird, but it’s a little trick in the world of brownie baking that helps avoid tearing up the edges of the brownies.
- Test for doneness at 17-18 minutes using a toothpick inserted into the middle. If it comes out with gooey chocolate on it, then it needs a few more minutes of baking. If it comes out with a few crumbs attached, it’s perfect! And if it comes out completely clean, then you’ve over-baked your brownies and they will be a bit dry!

Suggested Additions and Variations:
- Add a little flaky sea salt on top before baking.
- Make this 3 ingredient brownie recipe gluten free by substituting Cup4Cup brand gluten free flour for the all purpose flour. That’s the only gluten free flour that I’m sure will work. Feel free to experiment with other brands.
- Sprinkle some miniature chocolate chips on top of the brownie batter before baking.
- Add some chopped, toasted hazelnuts to the batter (or sprinkle them on top).
- Adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the batter will intensify the chocolate flavor.

If you have a sweet tooth, grab the 3 ingredients needed to make this recipe. I suggest serving them warm with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It makes for a heavenly dessert!
