✏️How to make Molasses Cookies with Sugar Babies:

*The complete, printable recipe with all ingredients and instructions is at the end of this post.

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. and spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray (or line with parchment or silpat mats).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl using the electric mixer, cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat in the egg, molasses and corn syrup. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add the flour and spice mixture and mix thoroughly. Stir in the Sugar Babies.
  5. Using a teaspoon, scoop 1-inch balls of cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheet, placing them 2-inches apart.
  6. Place ½ cup sugar in a small dish. Wet the bottom of a drinking glass. Dip the bottom of the glass into the sugar and use it to flatten cookies. Dip the glass in the sugar after flattening each cookie. Cookies should be about ½-inch thick.
  7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

➡️Recipe Tips:

  • Use “fresh” Sugar Babies! Don’t use old candy that has been lying around for a long time.
  • If it’s around Halloween, bargain with your kids to use the Sugar Babies from their Halloween treat bags!
  • Reserve a few pieces of candy to stick on the top of each cookie on the baking sheet if you want to be sure you have enough in each cookie.
  • You can also spray the bottom of a glass with nonstick spray to keep the sugar from sticking to the glass when you use it to flatten the cookies.

✔️How to Store Molasses Cookies with Sugar Babies:

These cookies should be stored in a covered container. They’ll be fine stored at room temperature for a few days. I’m not sure I’d recommend freezing them (I haven’t tried it). The candy might harden to the point of no return. You don’t want that.

❤️Why I love this recipe:

  1. Molasses cookies are my favorite. These cookies are delicious, even without the addition of Sugar Babies.
  2. This is an excellent recipe to make to use up some Halloween candy.
  3. I love the flavor of Sugar Babies, and that flavor comes through in these cookies too.
