Here’s a beachy cocktail that is perfect for celebrating summer > Beach House Cosmos
I may be posting a few cocktail recipes this summer, but really and truly I’m not at all a drinky-drink kind of girl. It’s usually wine or bust for me. But I’ve been expanding my horizons and trying new things. All of the cocktails I’ve been posting I’ve absolutely loved. And this one I’m sharing with you today was the best one ever!!
We hung out at a beach house this summer for a couple of weeks. You’ll be seeing a few “beach house-inspired” recipes in the weeks to come. This is one of them. Our dear beach house neighbor Sheila loaned me her copy of The Beach House Cookbook to use while I was on vacation, which I absolutely adore. So many great recipes in there. Of course, this recipe comes from that book.
I liken this recipe to a good sangria, sans the loads of fruit and made totally differently! It’s super easy to pull-together (it begins with store-bought limeade, which is paired with vodka, triple sec and cranberry juice), and it’s served in a pitcher.
These beachy cosmos were WAY too easy to gulp down on a blistering hot summer day in Massachusetts. And they are slightly lethal if you drink one too many!
You should totally make them too! Cheers!

I ended up making for pictures of these for my guests!! They were a huge hit!
I love these! But I made too many… how long will the prepared pitcher of cosmos last in the fridge?
A few days, at least!
I don’t like the taste of lime. Could I use lemonade instead?
You could try!
Do you use sweetened cranberry juice or 100% juice?
I’d use 100% juice, but it’s up to you.
did you use frozen limeade?
You can use already prepared limeade, or you can buy the frozen and prepare it from frozen. It calls for measuring out already-prepared limeade.
Made this for the long memorial day weekend. Very tasty!
Could you use lemonade instead if limeade?
Probably, but it will have a much different flavor…
